William Rogers Quadruple Plated Pitcher

Wm Rogers is a name that speaks to wonderfully made artisan Silver Service Ware. The early days gave us wonderful designs that graced many a well dressed table. These pieces were investments in things that would become valued family heirlooms passed from generation to generation. 
 
The skills needed to produce Silver required learned processes that took years practice and study. This Quadruple Plated Pitcher incorporates both embossed floral patterns and borders and a beautiful Etched Pansies. It is very ornamental with art work everywhere. As I searched for another of these pieces I was unable to find this particular design. There are roses and other floral art work that was also used in the more decorative patterns. I am sure there are other pieces out there waiting to be gathered again!
 
The Pitcher is 4 1/2 inches tall. The well is 3 1/4" in diameter. It measures 5 1/2" from spout tip to handle.
 
The bottom is Hallmarked and numbered.
The Pitcher has aged to a consistent dark patina that could be cleaned if preferred. The lip has one small dent.
