The Madison County Cook Book, Winterset, Iowa

The Madison County Cookbook compiled by the members of St. Josephs Church in Winterset, Iowa 
 
This mint condition cook book has its original glossy dust jacket over a bright blue and red hard cover recipe book. Church cook books are alway filled with recipes that are tried and true. The opening page reads, "Homespun recipes, family traditions and recollections from the heart of Madison County." The quality of the book shows the pride in which it was carefully curated. 
 
The inside cover is a soft butter yellow and the light cream pages are printed in a blue and red ink accented with folk art style graphics. The whole book has a mid summer fourth of July kinda feel to it. There are DIY decorating projects and additional information included among the recipes.
 
The Madison County Cookbook has 512 pages of wonderful information. The book is 8 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches and 1 3/4 inches thick. Wonderful regional collection of recipes for the offering.
