Lovely piece of nostalgia and a well made vanity case
This is a very nice perfume compact that was sold with a cake of Chantilly perfume tucked away inside. They were ideal for carrying in a purse or a pocket.
The pattern for the Gold Top is called basketweave and has a faux ruby center. These were also made with a turquoise cabachon. The little box is approximately 1 1/4 x 1 1/2 inch oval. The Houbigant Logo is clearly visible. The clasp and hinge work well. Very nice pill box.
