Blue Ridge Pottery, Platter and Bowl
Bright and Wonderful Vintage Blue Ridge Southern Pottery
Blue Ridge Southern Pottery closed its doors in 1957. But the fact that the pottery and patterns are still favorite collectibles today is a testament to the quality of product and the skill of appalachian potters. I have 2 pieces of delightful Cherry Bounce. Bright red graphics bordered by red trim brighten any table.
The first piece is a hard to find 15" serving platter. Pretty on the table or on a wall.
The second peice is a 8" coupe bowl. Fill it with fruit or place a frog in the bottom for a colorful table arrangement.
The bowl carries the Blue Ridge hallmark but the platter is pure white on the back. Both pieces are in very good condition. The bowl has 2 small dark spots in the glaze. Both pieces are usable.
