Antique "Laura" Glass Beaded Purse

This is a lovely hand bag that is still usable. These "Laura" purses were very popular mid century. Fashion was brighter and more creative in design after the lean years of the war.
 
This bag was gently used and well cared for over the years. The exterior is covered completely in black opalescent glass beads. Under the clear beads are hand embroidered pink flowers and leaves. The pattern is repeated on front and back. 
 
The top of the bag features a rigid brass frame that has a marbled strip of lucite on a gold embellished frame. It has a gold kissing clasp that has 2 clear rhinestones at the top. The handles are a double linked chain secured on either side with a gold ring.
 
The interior is black cloth trimmed in gold thread. The original Laura tag is sewn into the interior pocket. It is clean and usable.
 
The satchel bag is approximately 9" x 10" and about 14" with the handles extended.
