Antique Beaded Purse in White

During the early part of the 1900's hand beaded bags and purses became very popular. During the post war years international trade opportunities made artisan products available to the American market. Laura, company brought to market an array of colors and designs.
 
This pretty bag is patterned with pure white beads on an ivory colored material background. The beading is a repeating geometric pattern of beads in various sizes. The brass tone frame has a kissing clasp and has embossed detailing. The top features a Mother of Pearl strip adding to the classic look of the purse.The handle is a thick rope of white beads. The purse is clean and in good condition. The interior has a single pocket. The white cloth interior has quite a bit of foxing at the bottom.
